BSP Overview

The purpose of the Linux BSP is to enable general Linux s/w development, both for Kernel and userspace. It is recommended to use the BSP together with the Snowball SDK on a Ubuntu host system. The BSP consists of a set of “h/w packs” that can be combined with one of the Linaro file system images to form a complete bootable Linux system.

Both the SDK and the BSP are based on the Linaro Kernel and toolchain. The Kernel in the BSP contains the latest Linaro enhancements, and the SDK contains the image-creation tools and the enhanced gnu tools provided by Linaro.

Validation results for each release can be found here as well as the corresponding test suite for the Snowball Kernel and Ubuntu.
